Greetings! You have found your way to 2nd Grade Chatter, a blog dedicated to sharing ideas and thoughts with educators as well as keeping stakeholders informed of the happenings in my 2nd grade classroom.
A component of this blog will be to provide parents and other educators with links to websites that can provide additional support and practice for students at home or in the classroom. The content areas of math, science, social studies, and literacy will be included.
Another component of this blog will be to share different happenings and insights from my 2nd grade classroom. By sharing what is happening within my classroom, others may benefit from new ideas as well as new ideas might be generated. I look forward to sharing with you my various ramblings and insights! ;)
The idea of sharing insights from your classroom is a great idea. I often search the internet for ideas from other teachers and having that available on your blog will definitely benefit those teachers such as myself when looking for something new to try. I also think that by having that as a part of your blog, you will also help keep parents in the loop. Often times, parents do not get all the details from thier child when they ask them how was their day, so this is a perfect resource for parents.

ReplyDeleteReally nice idea for your blog--I know what you mean--children aren' always great reporters when it comes to sharing about school--having a blog with information can help keep parents "in the loop" about what is going on in the classroom--and also gives parents a chance to share and build community.
